Did you hear about the blizzard that pounded the midwest, USA? It started the day after Chrsitmas.
We got about a foot of snow and lots of blowing wind.
I thought you might enjoy some photos of the winter scenes, so I got on my snowpants and boots.
My dog and I tromped through the drifts and the snow fell softly as we walked.
It was so very quiet and beautiful. The trees were stark against an all white background.
My red rose bush is waiting for spring under a blanket of snow.
The watering can has no chores to do, so it waits patiently for spring.
My old garden tools that decorate my flower beds look nice with a coating of white.
Do you love winter? I wouldn't say it is my favorite season, but it sure has it's beauty.
A pot of vegetable soup is waiting on the stove. My house looks so warm and inviting from outside.
Hope you enjoyed your blizzard tour. From my house to yours, happy winter! Jean

Lucky you! We are missing most of it, all we got was a dusting. I love snow and it is all missing us for some reason. Enjoyed your tour!
ReplyDeleteWe have been lucky and have missed a lot of the snow this year... Although I am sure we will get it in the new year. It has only been snowing a little bit here and there. We only have about a foot of snow... hopefully we won't get that much this year.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!! We got the blizzard here the day after Christmas. We had about 5 to 6 inches of snow, but my in-laws live an hour away and they got 12 inches.
