My sister and I went out for a drive last Sunday.
I grabbed my camera and we looked around for some winter scenes to photograph.
I thought I would share them with you. They really show Indiana in the winter.
We found the perfect red barn.
I just love old barns and really want one for myself! I wrote a post about that and you can read it here..
The next day, I stopped by my usual thrift store and look what I found!
It was only $3.00 and I couldn't pass it up. I think someone made it for a toy. I can't decide if I should wire it with a little light or just display a candle inside.
I think it has such possibilities. What would you do with it? any ideas?
Happy Thursday to you, xoxo, Jean

nice shots. i love the snow. one of my greatest likes is a red barn with snow surrounding it. so perfect. great new header shots. ( :
ReplyDeleteRed barns sure look pretty against the snow. You could put a battery operated candle inside your barn. Just an idea! Hope you join the Old Time Party tomorrow. ;)

Love your new barn, I would actually decorate like a doll house. I would so love to live in an old barn. Why don't you turn it into a barn/home it would be so fun to gather small rugs, furniture, maybe wallpaper the walls, add a loft. Oh my I am so excited, let me at that barn. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love old barns and they are more beautiful when it snows!!
ReplyDeleteI think your little barn would look great with a battery operated candle in it.

Old barns have so much character and beauty. What a fun treasure you found!

love that little barn! great find :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks just like our Dutch Colonial house! I've got a homemade barn that is similar and it's going to be the centerpiece of the bedroom I'm finishing up. I bought the plastic barn animals so our grandkids can play "farm" with it. You really got a bargain at only $3!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of the countryside!
Your winter pictures are beautiful! That old barn is so pretty, and then you find the old toy one! Luck you! I agree with a battery operated candle, and then maybe a pretty old doll quilt to sit it on and some other old looking farm stuff you might collect! Like a little chicken and or rooster.

Evening Jean....Oh, I love that little Red Barn find! Especially since it is homemade! It's almost like a dollhouse to play with. A light would be nice in it.....Also, I received my CALENDER and I LOVE IT! May, June and July are my favorite PICTURES!! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend! From one sweetie to another~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteWow what great photos, love the colours against the white! And what a great find.
ReplyDeleteJean, that is the sweetest little barn and came just at the right time after seeing it's 'almost' twin on your ride. I love it and I think just a battery candle would look great and then you could always move it or put something different in it..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteOh how darling! My daughter would go crazy to have a barn to add to her dollhouse. I would love to have some land and a big ol' barn too. We have a huge farmhouse in a historic district but just a wee yard. It was a gift from the Lord so I won't complain a bit! =)

Oh my gosh Jean that barn is a treasure! What a steal for $3. I could see it an assortment of vignettes. Especially for Fall with mini pumpkins and gourds. Just darn cute like it is, but the light would be fun! Thanks for sharing it and your wonderful snow pictures with Share Your Cup.
