Happy Monday morning to you! It is a very cold day here in Indiana, brrr. I was going through all my vintage tablecloths getting them ready to sell. I started wondering what kind of tablecloths were the most popular. So, I thought I would survey you.
Maybe you are a Victorian girl who likes lace. Or, maybe a cottage girl who prefers a crocheted tablecloth?
Maybe your style is 1950's kitsch like this one with the rooster in a pot.
Shabby chic girls would like the pink floral one. Farmhouse lovers might like this toile and check one.
Or, do you prefer some geometrics from the 1960's?
Why don't you leave a comment and let us know what kind of tablecloth you would choose.
I would almost always choose red or green, two of my favorite colors. I think bright tablecloths work well in any decor. Even neutral rooms can benefit from a pop of color. So my choice would be one like this one above with strawberries and green.
xoxo, Jean

i love your collection - i could have fun with all those. mine are walmart buys. the ones that are easy to clean in the washer or one that are vinyl (or sort of the same material to that) so they are easy to wipe off.
ReplyDeletei have a Christmas tablecloth that was my Grandma's grandma ... so that is the oldest i own. but i so love it. look forward to getting it out each winter.
the toile one would go with my recent tea pot i put on my blog ... which was a bridal shower gift. so fun!! ( :
I love your tablecloths!! I really like the blue pineapple one and the pink one to the left of it. I've got a stack of them myself and have to resist the urge to buy more.
ReplyDeleteYour tablecloths are gorgeous. I love vintage printed tablecloths like this. I have a couple that belonged to my Grandma, so I always think of her when I see them. Are you selling these on ebay?
ReplyDeleteOne of my FAVORITE vintage collectibles are printed tablecloths. I have a rather large collection. Some of my favorites include the florals, the fruits, the Christmas and the novelties. It's so hard to choose only one. Please let me know when you list your table cloths. Do you have an etsy shop?

ReplyDeleteOh Jean I love all these gorgeous tablecloths!! I am with you on the pretty strawberry one. My favorites are from the 50's and earlier. What is your ebay shop name? xo Heather

Wow, what a fabulous collection! I guess I would probably go for the kitsch -- love the vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteI like all of them! I buy tattered tablecloths and use the good parts to make pillows.
ReplyDeleteI love the red and turquoise/aqua. As I comtemplate my kitchen redo I'm thinking of a red and turquoise/aqua country kitchen. I love how lively that combination is. And I want chickens! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove them all but my most favourite would be gingham,I have one in every colour.
ReplyDeleteBlessings with your sale.
